What is IVC?
IVC is a non-governmental organization in Lviv, established on October 31, 2023. It connects volunteers, Ukrainian civil society organizations and international partners.
How do I apply to volunteer?
Fill out the volunteer form with your skills and available dates. A coordinator will contact you for a short online conversation before you receive instructions and join the community.
Who can get involved?
IVC welcomes people with different skills, including medical, social work, events and communications experience, as well as people willing to help. Ask the organization offering a role about its specific requirements.
How much time do I need to offer?
IVC invites people who can offer an hour or an afternoon each week. Tell the coordinator about your availability; the commitment for a specific opportunity must be agreed with the organization.
What opportunities are listed?
The directory covers kitchen and food preparation, animal care, camouflage netting, rebuilding and English teaching. Contact the listed organizations to confirm current needs.
What facilities does IVC provide?
The center offers workspace, internet, laundry and showers, a kitchen for registered volunteers, temporary storage, a library and a relaxation lounge. It also provides space for events and community activities.
Can I get help with accommodation?
The guide covers hostels, hotels, apartments and shared rentals. IVC has a volunteer discount card for participating hotels and hostels. Confirm availability and booking terms directly with the accommodation provider.
Do I need a visa?
Requirements depend on your nationality and planned stay. Check current official Ukrainian entry and visa guidance before travelling, including any requirements relevant to volunteering.
Does IVC offer training?
The services include first aid, TCCC and Combat Life Saver courses, language classes and workshops. Ask IVC about current dates and participation requirements.
How can an organization help?
Organizations can offer funding, goods and equipment, promotion or a joint initiative. Email your organization's details and idea to discuss a partnership.
How are donations processed?
Donations are processed through Mother for Ukraine, a US-based 501(c)(3) organization with EIN 88-2927770. The donation page lists PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, check and large-donation contact details.
